I love this case. Once you've put it together, you won't be moving it much. It's solid, exceptionally well-made and filled with thoughtful touches that make building your rig that much easier to do. The case is huge and heavy, so take that into consideration before buying. That aside, it really is a beauty, and so quiet I can't even hear it running. If you're looking for a full-sized, easy to use, full-featured tower, look no further.
Read others experience with them. Using a normal 12V fan for HDD's cooling is making it noisy as any other case. I had to take it apart to get to the screws. 2.
5. If others are going for no-screws case, CoolerMaster went for extra screws. The side panels take a professional to close. Cons: 1. If you do remove them, don't drop the screws inside. Quiet - WITH a quiet Power Supply and no additional fans. 9.
4. Just loose the bracket screws and then slide the bracket out. You'll never get them out. You'll have to install 4 screws for each HDD + 1 for securing the HDD slider. The handles were all loose and two screws from them lost in between the case panels. 7. The manual is useless. Installing the fan on top of the HDD is a pain also.
They will at the end but they are tricky. If you have more HDD's running hot, you'll have a problem.6. The front dark glass is not transparent so you do not see the DVD drive's LED if working. The case arrived scratched on two corners, and that's not from transportation as the box was intact. The Reset button sticks out on top near Power, easy to push by mistake.
8. Pros: 1. To make it quite CoolerMaster uses low RPM fans (3) with a trade to not enough air flow. Removing the floppy drive brackets not explained, and tricky. 3.
2. Not enough ventilation for HDD, so moving the fan on top of them is a MUST although not a complete fix. Nowhere explained how to (just "you can do it if necessary"). Nice and good looking case (when not scratched). So DON'T.
If your looking for a well built and thought out unit this is it. Its one heavy sucker though and when loaded mine tipped out at 50 pounds of which 37 was case.
heat and airflow is terrific( especially if you pay attention and get a graphics card that exits out the rear(GTX 280).It is so huge and heavy that sound controll is worth every penny- the side plates are double wall and foamed.cable control is nice since most hides behind the Mo-Bo tray.Even adding HD is sweet- just slide up to SIX in.at todays tech you could have a internal 10 terrabyte unit- OMG. Happy to report than this case is all it is written to be- no sharp edges, monster interior.
Just slide in yourcd/dvd writers and players or fan control box- push one button and your in. plenty of fron bays and top access for usb/esata phones and mike.
very convienient. Its built like a tank.
if weight is a issue. As a side note some Mo-Bos take 10 mm m3 standoffs like the ASUS p6t you need to order these elsewhere as the case only comes with 6.5mm.
I bought this case because of the raving reviews but ended up somewhat dissappointed. I still kept it because I'm really drawn to the sexiness of this case.Pros: Great minimalistic design, Build quality is superb, Big and roomyCons: Airflow in the Hard Drives area could have been better, left side panel keeps opening (I can overlook other flaws but this really irritates me), Not as silent as I was hoping for.
Another nice touch is that the mesh screen on the 5.25 drive bays is actually metal and not plastic. When I opened the box I was blown away. First off let me state that Amazon's shipping was fast as usual. Wire management on this case is good and everything is well thought out. I thought most of the case would have an aluminium finish but I was surprised to see that most of the case was actual aluminium.I've owned Cooler Master cases in the past and I love the new rubber grommets on the door magnets to keep the door from slamming into the front of the case. The click install 5.25 drive bays are amazing as well as the tooless side panels. The only complaint I have is that I wish they would have put a fan in front of the hard drive bays for cooling. If you are thinking about getting this case, don't. Just press add to cart.
